Children's Room Makeover
Children's Room Makeover
To give the room a more natural feeling and some more color we painted the ceiling a sky blue and then faux finished some clouds all across the ceiling. Using an ordinary sponge and some white paint we just kept dabbing and moving. I think the trick here is to not over work the clouds. The faster we made them the better they seemed to turn out. This was a lot of fun!!!!

Children's Room Makeover
Once the "sky" was complete and dry we started cutting in the wall color. Remember we are doing an "ocean theme" so we needed some really cool greens and blues that didn’t weigh the room down.

Children's Room Makeover
Check out the finished ceiling with clouds! Even with a textured ceiling the final faux finishing project turned out great. When you are getting creative with paint remember, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!

Children's Room Makeover
I painted down about two thirds of the wall surface with the cool green color. With a pencil I'm lightly drawing some waves about chair rail height around the room which I'm going to paint a very sweet blue that we pulled out of the underwater scene mural the is going to be installed on the south wall.
