Exterior Painting Project
Here we have my son Zack Newkirk masking off some faux finished poles in the back patio area. Covering up as much as we can is a great idea when we are planning on spraying paint on all of the stucco surfaces. This paper/tape gun is a must have on any exterior or interior painting project when you are using a sprayer. Zack liked the tape gun as well. NOTE: If you would like to here Zack sing in his band visit www.myspace.com/sevenstorycoalition

Covering the doors and windows is a breeze with the products they offer today at the local paint and hardware stores. This 3M plastic sheeting lets light through so the clients don't feel so trapped inside their homes during the painting process.

You really can't tell where the spraying starts or stops here. So as far as saving time , putting up the plastic and taping off the window is far better than taking the time to cut in around an obstacle like the fence post especially when it's a rough surface like stucco.

Exterior Painting Project
Using a sprayer on rough surfaces such as stucco is the most thorough way to penetrate the little nooks and crannies without over loading the paint on the house and it's much faster too!

Certain areas need to be brushed, so here's Mike painting a tight area with a 2 inch latex brush. |

In this case to much time would be involved to cover up all the obstacles around this window area. So here is Zack carefully cutting in around the window well and frame.
